2026 UNIFEMGA Awards to Honour Outstanding Members
Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association to celebrate 28 members for leadership, service, and academic excellence under theme of followership and leadership reforms

The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) has announced its 2026 Honours Awards, recognizing distinguished members who have made significant contributions to the association and society.
According to Mr. Sefiu Ikudaisi, National Secretary of UNIFEMGA, the ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2026, at Bovina View Hotels Limited, New Yidi Road, Ilorin, Kwara State.
This year, 28 members will be honored across three categories: Presidential Awards (6), Excellence Awards (6), and Achievement Awards (16). The event carries the theme: “Rebuilding National and International Confidence through Leadership and Followership Reforms.”
The keynote address will be delivered by renowned Islamic scholar Fadhilatul Ustadh Mukhtar Lukman Isale Koto, while Professor Abdulganiyu F. Alabi will chair the ceremony.
Engr. Mohammed Buari, National President of UNIFEMGA, praised the event as a platform to celebrate members’ contributions to Islam, society, and the association’s development.
The Presidential Awards will honor exceptional contributions to Islam and community service; Excellence Awards will celebrate members who have attained professorial ranks or shown exceptional service; and Achievement Awards will recognize those with doctoral degrees or notable professional accomplishments.
