Two Charged After Qur’an Burning Sparks Attack in London

Two men have been charged following a violent incident outside the Turkish consulate in London, where a man was attacked after burning a Quran.
Footage circulating on social media shows a man setting fire to the Islamic holy book in Rutland Gardens, Knightsbridge, before being kicked and slashed at by another man wielding a knife.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Hamit Coskun, 50, from Derby, has been charged with a religiously aggravated public order offence in connection with the book burning. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Meanwhile, Moussa Kadri, 59, from Kensington and Chelsea, has been charged with actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon for the attack. He has been bailed and will appear in court.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, which has sparked discussions on religious tolerance and public safety.
