‘Stray firework’ believed to have caused fire at mosque

The fire service in West Yorkshire, England has revealed what caused a blaze at a Bradford mosque.
Firefighters were sent out to the Anjuman-e-Haideria Masjid, on St Mary’s Road in Manningham just after 1am on Tuesday morning. Six crews attended and tackled the blaze on the fourth floor.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a large jet, hose reels, and an aerial ladder. The fire service says it’s believed a “stray firework” was the cause of the blaze.
A spokesperson for the service said: “We were called at 1.22am this morning to a fire at a building on St Marys Road.
“Six crews attended and tackled a fire in a mosque on the fourth floor. Using breathing apparatus, a large jet, hose reels and an aerial ladder firefighters extinguished the fire. A stray firework into the roof is believed to be the cause of the fire.”
