Saudi Ministry Expands Global Dawah Programmes

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has announced that it carried out dawah, educational and humanitarian programmes in more than 120 countries during the 1447 AH Islamic year, as part of Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to serve Islam and Muslims around the world.
The ministry said the initiatives were implemented under the guidance and supervision of Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to spreading authentic Islamic teachings and strengthening its service to the global Muslim Ummah.
As part of the programme, more than 2.5 million copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed in 93 countries. The ministry also organised international Qur’an competitions in four countries, while its Imams Abroad Programme sent 90 imams to serve Muslim communities in 47 countries.
The ministry further expanded its humanitarian activities by implementing its Ramadan Iftar Programme in 70 countries and distributing 1,000 tonnes of dates to Muslims in 120 countries, helping support fasting believers and promote the values of generosity and brotherhood in Islam.
In the area of Islamic education, the ministry conducted 97 physical training courses in 48 countries and organised 12 online academic courses that benefited participants from 93 countries. The programmes were aimed at spreading sound Islamic knowledge and strengthening the capacity of Islamic scholars and preachers worldwide.
The ministry said these efforts demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to serving the Holy Qur’an, supporting dawah activities, promoting Islamic education, and strengthening ties among Muslims across the world.
