Imam Praises Tinubu During Jumat Prayers at Lekki Central Mosque
By Abdullahi Yusuf
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended Jumat prayers on Friday at the Lekki Central Mosque in Lagos State, marking his first public appearance since his visit to the Alausa Central Mosque the previous week.

The President was warmly received by Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, and other dignitaries, alongside the mosque’s clergy.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Chief Imam of the Lekki Central Mosque, Ridhwan Jamiu, commended Tinubu’s leadership qualities while offering prayers for his success.
“We are proud of you,” the Imam said, recalling the mosque’s support for Tinubu during the campaigns. “We thank God that you have not disappointed us. We know you are capable, competent, and sagacious. May Allah continue to guide you as you lead Nigeria toward peace, security, and prosperity.”
Imam Jamiu further praised Tinubu for exemplifying righteousness, fairness, and justice, urging him to sustain these values in governance.
“You bear one of the names of Prophet Muhammad, Ahmed, someone who does what is praiseworthy. This name has reflected in your past actions, and we pray it continues to reflect in your leadership,” he added.
President Tinubu arrived in Lagos on December 18 to spend the holiday season after presenting the 2025 budget to the National Assembly.
