Olowu to Muslim Engineers: Let Integrity, Ihsan Guide Your Leadership

The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Ogun State, Nigeria, His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. Saka Adeola Matemilola, has put his weight and Royal blessings behind the newly inaugurated Executive Council of the Muslim Engineers Association of Nigeria.
His Royal Majesty in a chat with the PEACE Magazine, at the sideline of the inauguration ceremony of the new Executive members, has congratulated, The Muslim Engineers Association, TMEA, on the inauguration of its pioneer National Executive Council.
He admonishes, “This is a commendable step toward unity, professionalism, and service. Engineering is the bedrock of any nation. Every road, bridge, hospital, and power system that stands is a testament to the work of engineers. But beyond technical skill, engineering is about trust. The public puts its life in your hands each time they enter a building, cross a bridge, or use water and electricity. That is _Amanah_”.
Professor Matemilola, charged the new leadership of TMEA to lead with integrity, competence, and fear of Allah. He says “Let excellence, Ihsan and accountability be your watchwords. Nigeria is facing serious challenges in housing, energy, water, and infrastructure. We need engineers who will proffer solutions, mentor young professionals, and resist corruption.”
TMEA must become a platform for ethical leadership, knowledge exchange, and community service. Use your knowledge not just for personal gain, but for the good of society.
He concludes, the Owu Kingdom is proud of this initiative. We pledge our support. May Allah grant the New Executives wisdom to build a legacy that future generations of Muslim engineers will be proud of.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII is the 14th paramount ruler of the ancient Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He ascended the throne in 2022 and he is an academic, engineer, and promoter of Islamic causes associating with numerous Islamic groups.
Currently, Oba Matemilola is the President General of Ogun State Muslim Council.
The Muslim Engineers Association is an association set up to promote the interests of Muslims in Engineering Practices in Nigeria.
