NASFAT Breaks Ground for New Abuja Mosque, Seeks NAHCON Partnership
The Islamic society says the Kuchiko mosque will provide a centre for worship, Islamic learning and community engagement as its president also meets the Emir of Bwari and NAHCON chairman.

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has laid the foundation for a new mosque in Kuchiko, Abuja.
The foundation was laid by NASFAT President, Alhaji Dr. Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, during a visit to the area on Tuesday.
The mosque is expected to provide a centre for worship, Islamic education and community engagement for Muslims in Kuchiko and neighbouring communities.
As part of the visit, the NASFAT President and the society’s Zonal Missioner, Imam Marooph Raji, paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bwari, His Royal Highness Alhaji Awwal Ijakoro.

The delegation sought the Emir’s support for the commencement of Juma’at prayers at the new mosque and expressed appreciation for his leadership and support for peaceful coexistence.
Prayers were also offered for the Emir’s health, wisdom, peace, prosperity and long life.
The delegation included NASFAT National Security Secretary, CP Alade Gazali; FCT Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Adegboyega Kilani Adebayo; National Ex-Officio, Alhaja Halimat Kadiri; members of the Executive Council; and representatives of the Mission Board from Kuje, Gudu, Kubwa and other branches in the FCT.
In a separate engagement in Abuja, the NASFAT President paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf.

The visit provided an opportunity for NASFAT to congratulate the NAHCON chairman on his appointment and reaffirm the society’s support and readiness to collaborate with the commission in promoting excellence in Hajj administration.
Alhaji AbdulRauf expressed confidence in the NAHCON chairman’s ability to deliver an impactful, transparent and successful tenure, while stressing the importance of collaboration among Islamic institutions in advancing the welfare of Muslim faithful and contributing to national development.
He also highlighted NASFAT’s activities in religious propagation, educational empowerment, youth development and humanitarian interventions across Nigeria and beyond.

The Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Morufdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, offered prayers for NASFAT, the NAHCON leadership, traditional institutions and Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, protection and blessings.
He also prayed for the successful completion of the Kuchiko mosque project and continued progress in NASFAT’s efforts to serve humanity and promote Islamic values.
