The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) is putting healthcare, education and empowerment at the centre of its 11th General Assembly, calling on Muslims across the region to support projects aimed at improving the welfare of the Ummah.
The assembly is scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque, beginning at 10am, with Muslim leaders and delegates from across the Southwest expected to attend.
In its welcome to delegates and invited dignitaries, the organisation appealed for support towards three major objectives: empowering needy members of the Ummah, building a state-of-the-art health facility and providing scholarships for members of the Muslim community.
MUSWEN urged brothers and sisters to contribute towards the initiative, although the appeal in the invitation did not specify the amount the organisation intends to raise.
The organisation listed President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, among the dignitaries invited to the assembly, alongside the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umar Zulum.
Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is listed as Chief Host, while the governors of Osun, Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke; Ekiti, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji; Lagos, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Ogun, Mr Dapo Abiodun; and Ondo, Mr Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, are listed as co-hosts.
MUSWEN said donations towards the projects should be made to its designated account with Lotus Bank.

The 11th General Assembly is being organised by the 2026 Central Planning Committee, chaired by AbdulGaniy Olawale AbdulRahman.
