Kuwaiti Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al Wasmi, and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, signed an agreement on Sunday to organise the affairs of Kuwaiti pilgrims for the Hajj season this year.

The agreement mandates that the Hajj Affairs Office and organisers ensure citizens understand the need for official permits to perform Hajj. It also prohibits the entry of unauthorised pilgrims into holy sites, as well as the sheltering or transportation of such individuals by the Hajj Affairs Office.

The signing ceremony took place in Jeddah, a day before the opening of the fourth Hajj Conference and Exhibition.

In a statement to KUNA, Dr. Al Wasmi said the agreement outlines contracts for transportation, catering, and housing services for Kuwaiti pilgrims.

He stressed the importance of adhering to Saudi regulations governing Hajj and emphasized educating pilgrims on required instructions and procedures

The fourth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition opened in Jeddah on Monday. Running until January 16, the event is organised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in partnership with the Guests of God Service Programme. The conference aims to promote knowledge-sharing, enhance service competitiveness, and ensure transparency among stakeholders in the Hajj sector.
