1. As at today, Nearly 891,000 pilgrims have now arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025. Over 550,000 have completed their Arrival Tawaf.
2. MaxAir flight NGL272 departed Kano for Jeddah at 00:27hrs with 375 pilgrims and 146 officials. Breakdown: Kano – 373 (M: 260, F: 113); Jigawa – 2 (M: 2, F: 0). Total flights so far: 100.
3. The Saudi Ministry of Interior has detained 13,118 individuals for violations of residency, labour, and border regulations.
4. Nigerian female pilgrims have been duped by fake dental agents charging up to $200 for gold teeth fittings. A Kaduna Hajj official warns pilgrims to avoid falling victim.
5. The first group of British pilgrims landed at King Abdulaziz Airport, welcomed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah alongside Jeddah Airports Company.
6. Two Ghanaian pilgrims have died in Makkah. Five others have been repatriated over visa irregularities. Ghana sent about 60,000 pilgrims for Hajj 2025.
7. Did you know?: The Ihram is similar to prayer or fasting, certain everyday actions become prohibited during this sacred state.
8. Did you know?: Prohibited acts during Ihram include using perfume, cutting hair or nails, engaging in marital relations, hunting, getting married.
9. Did you know?: Ihram garments for men are two unstitched white cloths, Izar (lower body wrap) Rida (upper body wrap) and No underwear or sewn clothing allowed.
10. Did you know?: Ihram garments for women include women wearing loose-fitting black or white abayas, jilbabs, or burqas no decorative designs or colours, Their hands and faces must remain uncovered.
11. Fun fact: Ihram must be worn before passing the Miqat. For flights landing in Jeddah, pilgrims must don Ihram before arrival.
12. Did you know?: Clothing forbidden in Ihram, Men must not wear caps, stitched garments, socks, pajamas, or saffron-coloured clothing. Women must not cover their faces or wear gloves. Also, If no shoes are available, leather socks may be worn.
13. Fun fact: Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, a companion of the Prophet, survived solely on Zamzam water for an entire month during his early days in Makkah.
14. Fun fact: Historically used to treat illness, Zamzam was sprinkled on the sick by the Prophet and gifted to loved ones as a spiritual remedy.
15. Fun fact: Scientific tests show Zamzam has higher levels of calcium and magnesium, along with natural fluoride—making it both refreshing and germ-resistant, without any chemical treatment.
16. Fun fact: The zamzam well is directly linked to Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail, and later became the home of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) ancestors.
17. Fun fact: The zamzam well lies about 20 meters east of the Kaaba in Makkah, and is approximately 35 meters deep, still flowing miraculously to this day.
