1. As of now, over 21,192 Nigerian pilgrims have been successfully airlifted to Saudi Arabia across 51 flight operations, according to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON.
2. Taraba State pilgrims who departed Yola for Madinah with 560 intending pilgrims have arrived safely in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3. A flight conveying 310 Federal Capital Territory pilgrims from Abuja to Madinah has landed safely in Madinah.
4. Katsina State pilgrims have equally arrived safely in Madinah following another successful outbound operation from Katsina.
5. Yobe State Pilgrims Commission says about 1,337 intending pilgrims have now arrived at the Maiduguri Hajj Camp, where screening and documentation exercises have commenced ahead of departure to Saudi Arabia.
6. According to the Commission, the first batch of Yobe pilgrims is expected to depart for the Kingdom on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, as preparations continue in line with the approved Hajj timetable. ;The
7. The Kaduna State Government has also intensified preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise ahead of its inaugural flight scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
8. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says it has completed operational plans for pilgrim movement between the holy sites, including transportation to Jamarat for the symbolic stoning ritual and movement coordination through the Hajj Metro system.
9. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has intensified inspections of medicines and medical supplies arriving with Hajj delegations at entry points into the Kingdom. So far, over 187 tonnes of medical supplies from 20 countries have been cleared for use during the Hajj operations.
10. Early astronomical projections indicate that the moon marking the beginning of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH may likely be sighted on the evening of May 17, which could place Eid-ul-Adha around May 27, subject to official confirmation by moon sighting authorities.

17. Many Hajj operational reviews, quota assessments, and post-Hajj reforms are typically conducted after the completion of the Hajj rites in Dhul Hijjah as countries begin preparations for the next pilgrimage season.
