Dubai Launches New International Quran Award Edition

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launch of a new edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, reaffirming the emirate’s commitment to recognising outstanding Quran reciters and memorizers from around the world.
Announcing the initiative in a post on his X account, Sheikh Mohammed said the award would once again search for some of the world’s most beautiful Quranic voices to honour their achievements and lead prayers during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
“By the grace and guidance of Allah, today we launch the new edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award,” he wrote.
Sheikh Mohammed described the Holy Quran as “light, guidance and mercy,” noting that Dubai had remained committed to celebrating Quran memorizers for the past 29 years.
He expressed confidence that the tradition would continue, praying that Allah accepts the efforts of everyone involved.
“We have been celebrating Quran memorizers for 29 years, and, God willing, we will continue on this path and this journey. We ask Allah to accept our good deeds and yours,” he said.
The Dubai International Holy Quran Award is one of the emirate’s longest running religious and cultural initiatives. It recognises outstanding Quran reciters and memorizers from different parts of the world while promoting the teachings and values of the Holy Quran. Winners are traditionally honoured during the holy month of Ramadan.
