1. The Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque organises a closing ceremony involving all stakeholders responsible for the success of the 1445 Hajj exercise in Makkah on Thursday July 4, 2024.
2. The 1st of Muharram 1446AH (July 8, 2024) has been fixed for the Kiswah Changing Ceremony of the Ka’abah while the 15th of Muharram 1446 will be used for the washing of the Ka’abah.
3. The new Kiswah of the Ka’abah costs 20 million Riyals and contains 670KG of natural silk, 120kg of gold thread, 100kg of silver thread and weighs in total 1300kg.
4. Tinubu, NAHCON mourns Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, a veteran journalist and a core member of the 2024 Hajj Media Team who died few days after return from Hajj.
5. Lagos State joins the list of states that have completed airlift of pilgrims and calls for a Post Hajj conference to address challenges.
6. Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency assures pilgrims of the safety of their luggages while begging them not to exceed the 40kg limit.
7. NAHCON begs pilgrims not to carry any Zamzam package with them to avoid impoundment, assures pilgrims of receiving 5 litres of the holy water for every pilgrim.
8. The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended a fake agent for defrauding a victim of 4.5 million Naira for 3 Hajj slots.
9. The 55th NAHCON return flight departed Jeddah to Kaduna on Thursday, 28th of July 2024 at 5:59AM with 535 Kaduna Pilgrims and 5 Officials.
10. A Flynas flight with 424 Borno Pilgrims and 5 Officials departed Jeddah to Maiduguri at 7:00AM
11. 415 Kano State pilgrims and 5 Jigawa State pilgrims were airlifted from Jeddah to Kano at exactly 9:50AM.
12. So far, exactly 24,664 Nigerian pilgrims have been airlifted from the Holy land back to Nigeria by NAHCON.
