1. The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigerian Supreme council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alh Muhammad Saad Abubakar declares Sunday 7th of July as the first day of Muharram, in the new Islamic year 1446 AH.
2. The South Africa Hajj and Umrah council announces a refund of 3,049,041 Riyals for the 3,500 hajj pilgrims from South Africa as Ex gratia from Saudi service providers for tent services in the 1445 Hajj exercise.
3. Ithraa Al-Khayr went the extra length to provide exclusive services to Nigerian pilgrims at NAHCON’s insistence.
4. 159 professional technicians and artisans participated in replacing the Kiswah covering the Ka’abah on Sunday, 1st of Muharam, 1446AH( 7th of July 2024) after ‘Ishāi prayers.
5. A bouncing baby boy was born in Al Madīnah to Pakistani couple that participated in the last Hajj exercise.
6. A Flynas flight departed Jeddah to Sokoto 3:41PM with 429 Zamfara Pilgrims and 2 Officials on the 5th of July, 2024.
7. On the 6th of July 2024, 420 Kano State pilgrims, 95 Benue pilgrims and 32 officials departed Jeddah to Kano 11:26AM.
8. A Max Air flight airlifted 499 Kaduna State Pilgrims and 10 Officials from Jeddah to Kaduna at exactly 11:32AM.
9. The 70th NAHCON return flight departed from Jeddah to Ilorin with 312 Ondo Pilgrims and 2 Officials at 2:22PM.
10. 424 Sokoto State Pilgrims and 6 Officials were airlifted by Flynas at 4:10AM from Jeddah to Sokoto.
11.NAHCON returns over 50% of Nigerian pilgrims from the Holy land in over 70 flights.
