1. Over 500,000 pilgrims have benefitted from transportation services within the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah in the first quarter of 2024. This transportation services includes the use of golf carts, wheelchairs, and electric carts.

2. 1,000 Qur’ān memorization classes will be held for pilgrims at various locations of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah for this Hajj season. The classes will be held round the clock, both for men and women.

3. Saudi Arabia has welcomed the first group of about 1,000 Egyptian pilgrims who arrived in Makkah to perform Hajj. 54,000 more expected in coming days.

4. Over 1 million pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise via air, land and sea.

5. National Center of Meteorology in Saudi Arabia have forecasted extremely hot weather during this year’s Hajj season in Makkah and the holy sites.

6. 8 violators of Hajj regulations and instructions were arrested at the entrances of Makkah for having picked up 28 non-holders of Hajj permits.

7. 10,000 handcarts with an almost equal number of pushers have been prepared in the Masjidil Harām for the elderly pilgrims and people with disabilities.

8. Saudi Arabia has called on all Muslims across the Kingdom to participate in the sighting of the crescent moon of the 12th lunar month Dhul Hijjah tomorrow evening, Thursday.

9. Malaysian pilgrim passed away wearing Ihram in Masjid Al Haram in Makkah 12 hours after arriving for Hajj.

10. Saudi ambassadors to Jordan and Niger bids farewell to pilgrims under the sponsorship of the Saudi Royal Family from their respective countries. These pilgrims from both countries are part of the 1,300 selected for Royal sponsorship to Hajj and Umrah.

11. Saudi transport authority has deployed 27,000 buses, 5,000 taxis and 120 field control teams to serve pilgrims.

12. Saudi Arabia donates 300 Malaria test-kit to NAHCON’S medical team in Makkah.

13. Governor Fubara while bidding farewell to Rivers’ State pilgrims gave a largesse of $300 each to all pilgrims from his state.

14. The Katsina state Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda has earmarked over 578 million naira to support all the 2,760 pilgrims from Katsina for their sacrificial animals.

15. 210 pilgrims and 107 officials departed Abuja via Port Harcourt to Al Madīnah at 12:10 AM today carrying pilgrims from the FCT, Edo, Bayelsa, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Rivers and Imo State.

16. The 99th NAHCON flight from Nigeria departed from Sokoto to Al Madīnah carrying 423 pilgrims from Sokoto and Zamfara State.

17. NAHCON transports 41,882 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in 99 flights.
