Caucasus Muslims Office Chair to Participate in UNAOC Global Forum in Portugal

The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, is set to attend the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Cascais, Portugal, on November 26th to 27th.

Pashazade will participate in the forum at the invitation of Miguel Ángel Moratinos, High Representative for UNAOC. The event, themed “United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future,” will bring together global leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, to foster interfaith dialogue and cultural cooperation.

As part of the forum, Pashazade will deliver an address at the first plenary session, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Alliance. He will also speak at the “Global Conference on the Protection of Religious Sites.”

Following the forum, Pashazade will attend the inaugural meeting of the new Board of Directors of The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) in Lisbon on November 27.
