BREAKING: NECO releases 2024 examination results for unity schools

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2024 Common Entrance Examination results for Unity schools, revealing that no fewer than 13 candidates scored 01.
During a press briefing on Tuesday, the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, shared details about the examination outcomes.
A total of 71,291 candidates participated in the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), which was conducted in 599 centers on Saturday, June 1, 2024. NECO data showed that Lagos State had the highest number of candidates with 17,751, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 10,209 candidates, and Anambra State in third with 4,972 candidates.
Dr. Sununu reported that 4,360 candidates were absent, while 66,931 took the exam. One candidate achieved the highest score of 203 out of the obtainable 210.
The minister emphasized that the admission process will continue to follow the usual 60% merit-based policy.
