Breaking: Hajj Visas Ready For Nigerian Pilgrims

He indicated, that in less than 48 hours, all State Pilgrims Boards in Nigeria can commence the upload of their Pilgrims data information to the Saudi Arabia Platform, for the Visas to be printed.

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Malam Jalal Arabi OON fwc has assured all Nigerian Pilgrims to this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia that, their Visas shall be procured without hassles. He affirmed this while interacting with journalists at the Hajj House Abuja.

He indicated, that in less than 48 hours, all State Pilgrims Boards in Nigeria can commence the upload of their Pilgrims data information to the Saudi Arabia Platform, for the Visas to be printed. He made bold to say, that the Commission has effected all necessary payments to the Saudi Arabia Hajj Authority to make the Visas available for all Nigerian Pilgrims, travelling on pilgrimage to holy lands.

Still, during the interaction with the Journalists, Malam Arabi, confirmed that over 50,000 Nigerian Pilgrims, shall be in the Holy Lands for the pilgrimage. This number according to him is a feat that surprised the Saudi Arabia Hajj Authorities, because many African Countries already returning large unscribed slots, due to the world economic downturn. He posited, that for Nigeria to have such large numbers is Allah’s Rahama, considering the difficulty, the preparations for the Hajj, so far have been.

Arabi applauded, the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the presidency of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Malam Kassim Shettima, the vice president for the multifaceted interventions, which to a large extent, made it possible for the Commission to be able to surmount, difficult situations in the run towards a successful Hajj and spiritually rewarding exercise for Nigerian Pilgrims.

He also commended the interventions of the affluence in the Society, and various State Governors for patriotic assistance to the Pilgrims. He mentioned, that their interventions were the right thing to do to save the country from religious upheavals.

In all seriousness, the chairman assured, that, all things being equal, the 50,000 Nigerian Pilgrims shall have a wonderful experience, unlike what happened last year, particularly in Mashir areas, Muna. He appealed to Nigerian Pilgrims and officials to be vigilant and report untold situations, at every twist and turn, while on pilgrimage. After the close of registration, the official number of intending pilgrims that registered for the 2024 Hajj from Nigeria stands at 51,447 under the government quota.

The press, interaction was the first major event, the chairman would have with Journalists and it was done in style. Journalists were able to break their Ramadan fast (Iftar), with the chairman, and other members of the Board and Secretary of the Commission present.
