Ahmadiyya Muslim Community hosts Jalsa Salana 2024 Islamic conference, UK

THE 2024 International Islamic Conference (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom has began on Friday.
The ongoing spiritual convention is expected to host a large number of more than 35,000 people in attendance.
The three-day Jalsa Salana, which started on 26th is held annually on a farm near Alton, Hampshire, attracting members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from across the world.
The annual gathering of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, was initiated by the founder of the Islamic group Hazrat Mirza Gulam Ahmad.
The purpose of the gathering is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience benefits from special reading from the Holy Qur’an, speeches by the world head of the Ahmadiyya community and special congregational prayers.
Organisers said this year’s event would have a special emphasis on prayers and peace, urging Muslims to play their role in reducing global volatility and uncertainty.
The event, which is broadcast worldwide, includes a seminar on news reporting of the war in Gaza, as well as spiritual ceremonies.
Rafiq Hayat, UK President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, said: “Our convention is a reminder that our duty as Muslims is to be loyal, peaceful and dutiful citizens.
“Through our motto ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’ we aim to build stronger, more cohesive communities and promote peace and tolerance.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are Muslims who believe in the Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (PBUB) 1835-1908 of Qadian. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad founded the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1889 as a revival movement within Islam, emphasizing its essential teachings of peace, love, justice, and sanctity of life.
Today, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is one of the world’s largest Islamic community under the leadership of His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmad. It has followers in Nigeria, with headquarters in, Ojokoro, Lagos Nigeria.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spans over 200 nations with membership exceeding tens of millions.
