Saudi Arabia Denounces Iran’s Attacks on Jordan, Urges Immediate Halt
Saudi condemns the attacks as a violation of international law and reaffirms solidarity with Jordan after its forces intercept 18 of 20 Iranian ballistic missiles.

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran’s latest attacks on Jordan, calling them “brutal and unjustified” and reiterating its solidarity with the kingdom and its people.
In a statement Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said the attacks represented a “blatant violation” of international law and the principles of good neighborly relations.
Riyadh called for an immediate end to Iranian attacks on Jordan and other countries in the region and urged serious efforts to restore regional security and stability.
The statement came after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had targeted a US military base in Jordan with ballistic missiles.
The IRGC said its retaliatory operations against the United States would continue until what it described as US aggression ends.
Jordan’s armed forces said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 18 ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
The escalation also extended to the Gulf, where US Central Command said American forces destroyed five Iranian crude oil carriers after the IRGC twice targeted a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles over the previous two days.
The latest developments come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States over the Strait of Hormuz.
The confrontation has continued despite the signing of a memorandum aimed at reopening the strategic waterway as an initial step toward a broader peace agreement.
