The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned the recent drone attack on Saudi Arabia launched from Iraqi airspace, describing it as a criminal act that violates religious values and international laws.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, the organisation also praised Saudi authorities for successfully intercepting and neutralising the drones.
MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa said the attacks go against humanitarian principles and threaten regional security and stability.
He reaffirmed the organisation’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and the safety of its people.
The statement was issued on behalf of the league’s councils, bodies and affiliated Islamic organisations around the world.
