Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu Discusses Government Initiatives Supporting Ramadan Observances

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to facilitating religious practices during Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of closing Government offices for the final ten days of the holy month.
In a recent episode of Rayyithunnaa Eku, a podcast hosted by the President’s Office, he outlined key initiatives to support the public during Ramadan.
The President also highlighted financial relief measures introduced last year, which continue this year, including utility concessions and the provision of staple food items to households.
Additionally, President Muizzu emphasized the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations and the Government’s strong support for these festivities, which foster a deeper appreciation for Islam, especially among children. Several national initiatives have been launched to promote a better understanding and practice of Islam.
The President also reaffirmed ongoing efforts to stabilize market prices and adjust school schedules to better accommodate Ramadan observances.
