Iran Reopens 20 Airports After Recent Conflict

Iran says 20 airports across the country have resumed operations following disruptions caused by the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel, according to a civil aviation official.

The spokesman for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Majid Akhavan, told Fars news agency on Monday that about 40 percent of the country’s airports are now back in service as recovery efforts continue.

He added that Tabriz International Airport, one of Iran’s major hubs, is expected to restart operations in the coming days as restoration work progresses.

Akhavan noted that the reopening of airports is part of wider efforts to restore normal aviation activity after damage and disruption linked to the conflict.

Iranian authorities have also said the country’s aviation sector is gradually returning to full capacity as infrastructure repairs and safety checks are completed.

The developments come after months of regional tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, which led to military exchanges and temporary disruptions across several sectors, including transport.
