Iran Praises Neighbours Over Territory Use Control

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has commended neighbouring countries for what he described as their valuable cooperation in preventing their territories from being used for actions targeting the Islamic Republic, saying such coordination reflects growing regional understanding and responsibility at a time of heightened political and security tensions.
He made the remarks on Sunday in Tehran during a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where both sides discussed regional developments and broader security concerns affecting Islamic countries, according to a statement from the Iranian presidency.
Pezeshkian stressed that stronger unity among Islamic and regional states remains essential to reducing external interference in West Asia, arguing that greater cooperation would limit opportunities for what he called “adventurism” by foreign powers, including the United States and Israel.
He further alleged that recent military pressure on Iran was aimed at creating internal instability and weakening the country’s political structure, but said the Iranian people had responded with resilience, cohesion, and continued loyalty to the state during the period of tension.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his response, said recent regional events had helped clarify the realities of international politics for public opinion, adding that such moments reveal the importance of understanding the roles of different actors and identifying genuine partners in times of crisis.
He also noted that periods of conflict often expose the difference between allies and adversaries, saying the latest developments had made regional relationships and alignments clearer to observers.
Tensions in the region have increased over recent months following military confrontations involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, although a ceasefire brokered through mediation efforts has remained in place since April despite earlier uncertainty over its durability.
