Heat Expected on Hajj Routes to Makkah
By Sadiq Abdulfatah
Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology says weather conditions along routes from Madinah to Makkah and the holy sites will remain generally stable on Thursday, but with very hot daytime temperatures expected.
The forecast indicates that temperatures could rise to about 42°C during the day, while nighttime temperatures may drop to around 22°C. Humidity levels are expected to be about 29%, with winds likely to become active in some open areas, which may cause light dust in certain locations.
The meteorological authority advised travelers and pilgrims heading to the holy sites to take necessary precautions, ensure their vehicles are properly prepared before travel, and stay well hydrated due to the heat conditions.
The advisory comes as Saudi authorities continue preparations for the Hajj season and the steady movement of pilgrims to Makkah and the holy sites.
