Gaza: 58 Killed in Israeli Raids, UN Warns of ‘Massive Concentration Camps’
Victims include women, children and aid seekers as ICC pursues war crimes charges against Netanyahu, Gallant

At least 58 civilians, including women, children, and aid seekers, were killed in a fresh wave of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.
Among the dead were 10 civilians shot by Israeli forces while waiting for food aid in the Al-Shakoush area near Rafah in southern Gaza.
Palestinian Health Ministry said more than 60 others were wounded in the same attack, prompting renewed international scrutiny of Israel’s treatment of civilians.
In the north, an Israeli drone bombed a crowd near the Al-Nazla roundabout, injuring five civilians, while separate strikes killed three people in Jabalia and two in the Al-Sudaniya area, where civilians were gathered for aid distribution.
A further 17 people, mostly women and children, were killed in Deir al-Balah when Israeli forces shelled a group near a medical aid site.
Four members of one family died in an airstrike on their home in the Bureij refugee camp, while five more, including two children, perished in Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis when Israeli jets targeted tents housing displaced families.
The dead also include journalist Ahmad Abu Aisha, who was struck by an Israeli drone near his home in central Gaza — bringing the number of journalists killed since October 2023 to 229.
In total, Israel’s military campaign has claimed nearly 57,800 Palestinian lives since October, with most of the casualties reported to be women and children, according to health officials.
The UN rights office (OHCHR) revealed Friday that at least 798 Palestinians have been killed over the past six weeks while trying to access humanitarian aid near U.S.-run and other relief sites, including 615 at locations managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
The agency warned of a disturbing pattern of targeting aid seekers, many of whom are suffering from hunger and displacement.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) condemned Israeli plans to push more civilians toward Rafah, warning this could create “massive concentration camps.” Juliette Touma, the agency’s communications chief, reiterated that “UNRWA categorically refuses any forced displacement of any population.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army confirmed the death of Capt. Reei Biran, 21, a unit commander from the elite Golani Brigade, during clashes in Khan Younis.
International legal pressure continues to mount on Israel.
In November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
The country is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
As the civilian death toll continues to climb, aid groups and legal experts warn that Gaza is becoming a lawless zone of mass suffering — a place where families are bombed at dinner, children are killed in classrooms, and even food lines are fatal.
