Jalsa Salana UK 2026 Concludes After Three Days of Fellowship and Spiritual Renewal

After three days of worship, reflection and global fellowship, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community concluded its 2026 Jalsa Salana UK with Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad urging members to fulfil the true purpose of Bai’at by strengthening their relationship with Allah, remaining steadfast in faith and translating Islamic teachings into practical service for humanity.

The 2026 Jalsa Salana UK of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community concluded on Sunday at Hadeeqatul Mahdi, Alton, Hampshire, with Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Fifth Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, urging members to remain steadfast in fulfilling the conditions of Bai’at, strengthen their relationship with Allah and become practical ambassadors of Islam through righteousness, compassion and service to humanity.

Held from 24 to 26 July, the annual three-day convention brought together more than 40,000 Ahmadi Muslims from over 100 countries, while millions more followed the proceedings live through Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA), making it one of the largest international Muslim gatherings in Europe.

The convention opened on Friday with the traditional hoisting of the Liwa-e-Ahmadiyyat by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, surrounded by the national flags of countries represented at the gathering. Following silent prayer, the Khalifa delivered the inaugural address, reminding participants that the true purpose of attending Jalsa Salana extends beyond physical presence and lies in attaining spiritual reformation, strengthening one’s bond with Allah and advancing in righteousness (taqwa).

Throughout the three days, the convention featured a series of lectures examining key aspects of Islamic belief, moral development and contemporary challenges facing Muslims and wider society.

Among the major presentations was “Love and Obedience to the Khalifa of the Time Lies in Understanding and Remaining Firm on the Conditions of Bai’at,” delivered in Urdu by Maulana Waseem Ahmad Fazal, Professor at Jamia Ahmadiyya UK. The lecture explored the significance of Bai’at, the pledge of allegiance, in Ahmadiyya Islam, emphasising that genuine obedience to Khilafat is rooted not in emotion alone but in understanding, conviction and faithful adherence to the spiritual conditions laid down by the Promised Messiah.

In another lecture delivered in English, Dr Zahid Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Qadha Board of Jama’at Ahmadiyya UK, examined “The Concept of God in Divine Scriptures and Its Comparison with Islam.” He discussed how belief in one Supreme Creator remains central to divine revelation while arguing that the Holy Qur’an presents the most complete and uncompromised understanding of God’s unity, mercy and attributes.

Addressing participants in Urdu, Mr Naseer Ahmad Qamar, Additional Wakil-ul-Ishaat UK, delivered a lecture titled “The Holy Qur’an: A Casket of Jewels,” describing the Qur’an as an inexhaustible source of spiritual wisdom, moral guidance and practical solutions for humanity. He encouraged believers to move beyond recitation towards deeper understanding and implementation of its teachings in everyday life.

The humanitarian message of Islam also featured prominently during the convention.

Speaking in English, Mr Rafia Ahmad Hayat, Amir of Jama’at Ahmadiyya UK, reflected on “The Holy Prophet’s Love for Humanity,” highlighting the Prophet Muhammad’s compassion, mercy and commitment to justice as enduring examples for Muslims living in an increasingly polarised world. He urged participants to demonstrate Islam through kindness, service and peaceful engagement with society.

A major highlight of the second day was Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad’s address reviewing the worldwide progress of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community over the past year.

Reviewing the Community’s activities across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad highlighted the establishment of new mosques, missionary expansion, humanitarian initiatives and increasing numbers of people accepting Ahmadiyyat, reminding members that every achievement should inspire greater humility, gratitude to Allah and renewed commitment to the mission rather than self-congratulation.

The convention reached its spiritual climax on Sunday when Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered the concluding address.

He reminded participants that attending Jalsa Salana carries responsibilities beyond the convention grounds and urged them to return home determined to fulfil the conditions of Bai’at, establish the worship of Allah, strengthen family life, display exemplary moral conduct and become sources of peace within their communities.

The Khalifa emphasised that true success lies not in the size of gatherings but in personal spiritual transformation.

He called upon members to continually assess their own lives, deepen their relationship with the Holy Qur’an, increase acts of worship and ensure that their conduct reflects the teachings of Islam in both private and public life.

As has become a defining feature of the annual convention, the proceedings concluded with the International Bai’at ceremony, during which Ahmadis around the world renewed their pledge of allegiance to Khilafat through a live global connection broadcast by MTA International.

Beyond its religious sessions, Jalsa Salana UK also served as a meeting point for delegates from diverse cultures and nationalities, reinforcing the Community’s longstanding emphasis on international brotherhood, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

This year’s gathering was held amid heightened awareness of security concerns in the United Kingdom, with organisers maintaining arrangements to ensure the safety of participants throughout the three-day convention.

As the final session ended and delegates began their journeys home, Jalsa Salana UK 2026 concluded with members from around the world having taken part in three days of worship, reflection and discussions focused on strengthening faith, fulfilling the conditions of Bai’at and serving humanity.
