Muslim Council of Elders Condemns Plot Targeting UAE Security
Group warns against extremism and calls for global action on terrorism

The has strongly condemned what it described as a terrorist plot aimed at undermining the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The council said the alleged plan was linked to a terrorist organisation associated with “Wilayat al-Faqih” in Iran, and involved secret activities intended to weaken national unity and carry out sabotage operations inside the UAE.
It described such actions as a serious violation of international laws and conventions, warning that they pose a direct threat to peace, security, and stability in society.
The council firmly rejected all extremist ideologies and criminal activities, stressing that they contradict the true teachings of Islam, which call for peace, loyalty to one’s country, and protection of public safety and order.
It added that Islam rejects violence, destruction, and corruption, and instead promotes unity, stability, and respect for national belonging.
The statement also called for stronger international cooperation to confront terrorist organisations and extremist ideologies, stressing the importance of raising public awareness and promoting values of citizenship and national responsibility.
It further noted that protecting nations from threats is a shared responsibility that requires continuous vigilance and cooperation to safeguard security and stability.
