1. As at today, over 900,000 pilgrims have now arrived in the Kingdom for Hajj 1446 AH, signalling the near peak of Hajj traffic this season.
2. Air Peace, UMZA Aviation, and Max Air have officially concluded their 2025 Hajj operations, with Max Air wrapping up its final leg yesterday, transporting pilgrims from Katsina and Kano. Flynas is expected to complete its own airlift with the remaining Kebbi pilgrims today, while VIPs and officials will depart by 29 May.
3. Flynas flight XY8168 departed Sokoto at 13:58hrs on 25 May with 372 pilgrims and 58 officials (M: 221, F: 151) onboard, bound for Madinah. Total Nigerian Pilgrims Airlifted: 41,218 | Total Flights: 102.
4. Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, will deliver this year’s Arafah sermon at Masjid Namirah, a key spiritual highlight of Hajj.
5. Over 55,000 Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia via 244 flights, with the government confirming only 25,698 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the private quota due to lapses in processing. Sadly, nine Bangladeshi pilgrims have passed away from age-related illnesses.
6. A total of 61,724 Bangladeshi pilgrims have landed in Saudi Arabia on 160 flights so far, marking one of the largest delegations.
7. Over 600 pilgrims from the Gaza Strip, who were earlier in Egypt, have now safely arrived in Makkah to join fellow Muslims in the sacred rites.
8. Weli Travel’s Hajj pilgrims boarded Emirates flights and are expected to arrive in Makkah later today, continuing the flow of international pilgrims.
9. The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board foiled a scam involving agents overcharging pilgrims for gold and silver dental fittings. Under the leadership of DG Alhaji Umar Ahmed Labbo, the board acted swiftly to prevent exploitation by fake “Hajj guides.”
10.Did you know?: There are five main Miqat points designated for pilgrims coming from different directions. Crossing the Miqat without Ihram is not allowed unless a penalty is paid.
