Nigeria inaugurates National Halal Economy Strategy Implementation Committee

Nigeria has formally launched the National Halal Economy Strategy Implementation Committee, a key step in turning the country’s Halal Strategy into actionable programs.
Chaired by the Vice President (represented by DCOS), the committee brings together ministers, regulators, development finance institutions, international partners, and private sector stakeholders. Aliyu Bunu, Special Assistant to the President on Export Expansion, Office of the Vice President,was among those present to contribute to coordinating investments, expanding exports, and strengthening Nigeria’s halal ecosystem.
The launch signals the start of a disciplined execution phase aimed at boosting market access, building institutional capacity, and delivering measurable economic outcomes under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
