1. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has sent about 35 million SMS messages in various languages through all telecommunications operators in the Kingdom to pilgrims’ mobiles. All the messages are guidelines to help pilgrims in navigating the Hajj exercise.

2. About 220 female scouts will be participating in serving female pilgrims during this year’s Hajj exercise in cooperation with the security personnel at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

3. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance branch in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia has welcomed about 4,693 pilgrims pilgrims arriving through the Batha border crossing.

4. The first batch of 850 Palestinian pilgrims arrived yesterday Friday 7th June 2024 in Makkah to perform Hajj. 8,000 Palestinians will perform Hajj this year.

5. Saudi authorities have prepared 68 screens to provide guidance for pilgrims in 53 languages in the Grand Mosque, while lessons and sermons will translated in 10 languages.

6. 5,138 workers have been employed to clean and disinfect the Masjidil Harām daily. Also 3,442 bathrooms have been provided for pilgrims’ use in the Grand Mosque.

7. 140 doors have been prepared to facilitate entry and exit at the Masjidil Harām. 10,000 manual carts and 250 golf carts are made available for pilgrims with disabilities. 20,000 Zamzam containers have been prepared for use of pilgrims.

8. Saudi Embassy in Nigeria organizes a farewell ceremony for Nigerian pilgrims under the sponsorship of the Saudi Royal Family.

9. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance today welcomed the first group of 2,322 male and female pilgrims from over 88 countries selected in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah. The first group consisting of 34 Muslim pilgrims from Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Romania, and Montenegro arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah today.

10. The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, called upon all pilgrims of this year to strictly adhere to security and official instructions, repeats performing “Hajj without permit is sinful”.

11. Islamic Affairs ministry has distributed to pilgrims more than 46,000 books and barcodes from the Islamic Electronic Library in Al Madīnah.

12. As many as 2,390 pilgrims have arrived from the Sultanate of Oman.

13. NAHCON will conclude airlift on or before Saudi Arabia’s deadline 10th of June 2024.

14. Before dawn today, Max Air departed Kano at 1:00AM with 7 Kano pilgrims and 27 officials; a FlyNas flight left Minna via Maiduguri at 2:36AM with 395 pilgrims from Niger, Yobe and Borno state; Air Peace flight airlifted 286 Kwara and FCT pilgrims at 3:06AM with all the flights’ destination being Al Madīnah.

15. FlyNas flight departed Sokoto to Al Madīnah with 414 pilgrims at 4:15AM.

16. Another FlyNas flight carrying 427 Niger state pilgrims and 3 officials left Minna for Al Madīnah at 3:27PM.

17. 552 pilgrims and 4 officials from Kaduna, Katsina and Armed forces were airlifted from Katsina to Al Madīnah at 4:15PM.

18. NAHCON airlifts 49,253 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in 117 flights.
