Angels Descend on Laylatul Qadr
“The angels and the Spirit [Jibreel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (Surah Al-Qadr 97:4-5)
On this night, the angels bring Allah’s decrees for the coming year and spread blessings upon those engaged in worship. Their presence signifies tranquility, divine forgiveness, and the acceptance of supplications.
Angel Jibreel (AS), who brought revelation to the Prophets, descends on this night a privilege unmatched in the entire year. His presence highlights the magnitude of Laylatul Qadr, as he only descends when something truly extraordinary is happening.

Saudi Arabia – Thousands of Muslim pilgrims travelling for Umrah during Ramadan have faced disruptions as conflict in the Middle East affects flights and travel routes. Indonesian authorities say more than 58,000 pilgrims have been stranded in Saudi Arabia while governments and airlines work to resolve the situation.
Tanzania – Thousands of people gathered at Amani Stadium for one of the island’s largest communal Ramadan meals. Organisers say the event aimed to promote unity and tourism in Zanzibar, where the vast majority of residents are Muslim.
Ghana – The Hudai Foundation and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency hosted a Ramadan programme providing meals for about 1,000 orphaned children at the Ghana National Mosque in Accra as part of humanitarian outreach during the holy month.
Sudan – Ramadan is unfolding amid continuing conflict and economic hardship, with residents in cities such as Omdurman reporting sharp increases in food prices and shortages of basic goods. Displaced families say the war between Sudanese forces and the Rapid Support Forces has made it difficult to afford traditional Ramadan meals.
India – Members of the Lotus Boulevard Muslim community in Noida have distributed hundreds of food packages to low-income families during Ramadan, part of a charity initiative aimed at helping households cope with rising living costs.
Ghana – Lawmaker Misbahu Mahama Adams has called for stronger environmental action during Ramadan, urging citizens to address climate challenges as a severe heatwave affects northern regions of the country. He said environmental protection is both a civic and religious responsibility.

Giving a loan is more rewarding than giving charity (sadaqah) because it helps people become self-sufficient (Ibn Majah).

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA): “The person observing Itikaf remains free from sins, and he is indeed given the same reward as those who do righteous deeds (while he is secluded for worship).” (Sunan Ibn Majah 1781)
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA): “Whoever observes Itikaf for one day, seeking thereby the pleasure of Allah, Allah will place between him and the Hellfire three trenches wider than the distance between the east and the west.” (Tabarani, Al-Mu’jam Al-Kabir 5756, classed as Hasan by Al-Albani)
