1,045 Iranians killed in US-Israeli aggression since Feb. 28: Health Ministry

More than 6,000 wounded as women and children among victims amid continuing

Iranian media says the death toll from U.S. and Israeli strikes has risen to 1,045, surpassing earlier official figures of 926, as the joint campaign continues across the country.

Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said 6,186 people were wounded in strikes carried out between Saturday and 5 p.m. local time on March 4.

In a statement posted on X, Kermanpour said 2,054 of the injured remain hospitalized, while 3,545 were treated and discharged. Another 552 received treatment at the scene. He added that 502 surgical operations have been performed so far.

According to the ministry, women account for 13 percent of those killed, while men make up 87 percent. At least 180 of the victims were under the age of 18, including three children younger than five. The youngest fatality was a one-year-old child in Tehran.

Among the wounded, 301 were under 18, including 39 children younger than five. The youngest injured was a six-month-old boy, while the oldest was a 91-year-old man.

The figures come as Israel and the United States continue a large-scale military campaign across Iran. Among those killed was Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military officials.

Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.
