‘Stop negotiating with yourself,’ Iran tells Trump

Wars are serious business, and there is rarely a moment during battle that can be described as funny or hilarious. However, we are not living in normal times, and the world is anything but typical. The most powerful nation on Earth, the United States, is currently governed by an intellectually diminished narcissist with royal ambitions. This leader seems to be doing the bidding of a genocidal maniac intent on killing innocent Palestinian children to avoid jail time for accepting bribes while serving as Prime Minister of Israel.
Thus, instead of provoking fear and concern, this latest “war event” has become the subject of international jokes and humorous social media memes, particularly targeting the President of the United States (POTUS). Who could have imagined such a situation?
Yet here we are, and the reasoning is clear: every bully and oppressor has a shelf life, and both Trump and Netanyahu have long since surpassed theirs.
What could be more humiliating than facing an enemy whom you considered to be a lightweight or pushover, only to find them defiantly thumbing their nose at you? That’s precisely what Iran is doing.
Strangely, the bully seems to have no response. The only tactic appears to be issuing juvenile, schoolyard threats, like claiming, “Trump has one hand open for a deal and the other waiting to punch you in the face.” Iran’s retort: “Come! We’ve been waiting for decades to welcome you!“
This remark was a direct response to Trump’s threat that 7,000 Marines were heading to seize Iran’s Kharg Island.
Generally accustomed to having other nations do America’s bidding, Iran’s defiance is unsettling for the American political class, especially for Trump and his team. How can a nation, weighed down by a vast array of sanctions for 47 long years, exude such confidence? How can a country that has suffered the assassination of its top leaders, military generals, and scientists possess such a revitalized spirit? And how can a nation that Israel and America have portrayed as an easy target not only reject Trump’s 15-point peace plan but openly mock it on the global stage?Iran’s audacity is a direct affront to America’s self-proclaimed invincibility.
What’s more, Iran is displaying this confidence without a single nuclear warhead in its arsenal. If this isn’t a clear sign of confidence emanating from an unseen source above, then what is?
Trump’s repeated ‘48-hour deadlines‘ and blatant falsehoods suggesting that “negotiations are taking place between the two nations” have prompted another sharp, and quite humorous, rebuke from Iran: “Quit negotiating with yourself.”
In response to a “friendly intermediary’s” attempt to mediate between the two powers, Iran has politely dismissed the US peace plan, stating that it does not reflect the balance of power in the conflict.
Iran’s final word: “The end of the war will occur when Iran decides it should end, not when Trump envisions its conclusion!”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a definitive mic drop moment.
