NAHCON’s Advance Team for 2025 Hajj Arrives in Saudi Arabia

A 36-member advance team from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has arrived in Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ahead of the 2025 Hajj exercise. The team landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport on the morning of Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Led by the Deputy Coordinator of Makkah Operations, Alhaji Alidu Shuti, the delegation comprises members from key committees including Accommodation, Feeding, Medical, National Reception, Passport Management, E-Track, Hijira, Tafweej, and Media. Their primary responsibility is to ensure all logistical and operational arrangements are in place before the arrival of the first batch of Nigerian pilgrims, scheduled to depart on May 9, 2025.

Prior to their departure from Nigeria on Monday, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, addressed the team, urging them to diligently execute their duties. He emphasised that the groundwork laid by the advance team will set the tone for a smooth and successful Hajj operation this year.
