MUSWEN Pays Tribute to Late Alarà of Aramoko-Ekiti and Hon. Remi Badmus

The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has publicly mourned the loss of two venerable leaders, His Royal Highness Oba Abdul Azeez Olu Adeyemi, the Alarà of Aramoko-Ekiti, and Hon. Remi Badmus, a respected politician and former secondary school principal in Ekiti State.

In a joint statement signed by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, MUSWEN President, and Professor Muslih Tayo Yahya, Executive Secretary/CEO, the organisation recognized the profound impact both men had on the Muslim community, their immediate localities, and the broader society.

“The contributions of the late Alarà and Hon. Badmus to the advancement of the Muslim Ummah and their communities remain unforgettable,” the statement read.

Oba Abdul Azeez Olu Adeyemi, who served as President of the Ekiti State Council for Islamic Affairs, was described as a traditional ruler of great wisdom and a unifying figure whose leadership significantly enhanced peace and development in Aramoko and beyond.

“His reign was characterized by selfless dedication and an enduring commitment to communal progress,” MUSWEN noted, underscoring the late monarch’s role as a pillar of stability and harmony in Ekiti State.

Honourable Remi Badmus, who held the office of Deputy President of the same Islamic Council, was remembered as a man of integrity and compassion, whose career in education and politics demonstrated his steadfast devotion to public service.

“Hon. Badmus was a beacon of integrity and a tireless advocate for the welfare of his constituents, reflecting a life lived in service to humanity,” the statement added.

As the Muslim community and wider public come to terms with these losses, MUSWEN extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the people of Aramoko, and all who were touched by the late leaders’ lives.

“We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives their shortcomings, grants them Al-Jannah Firdaus, and strengthens their loved ones in this time of sorrow,” MUSWEN concluded.
