Forum of Saudi Varsity Graduates Opens Monday in Abuja
Graduates from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon to chart path for regional growth

The Forum for Graduates of Saudi Universities in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Neighbouring Countries will on Monday begin its three-day session in Abuja under the patronage of Saudi universities.
The forum, which will draw participants from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Gabon and other African countries, is designed to examine the role of Saudi-trained graduates in advancing sustainable development across key sectors.
According to the organisers, the programme will feature dialogue sessions and presentations showcasing graduates’ contributions to education, the economy, agriculture, media and charitable work.
Experts and academics from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia are expected to share insights on how higher education can drive social and economic transformation at community and national levels.
Among the success stories to be presented are the Cooperative Microfinance Window aimed at strengthening small-scale enterprises, Cattle Fattening Projects that support food security, and educational initiatives such as Qur’an Memorisation Efforts and the Establishment of Teachers’ Colleges.
The organisers said these examples demonstrate how Saudi-trained graduates are applying their academic experience to practical solutions within their communities.
The forum will also spotlight development initiatives led by Saudi university graduates in Chad, Cameroon and Gabon efforts described as a reflection of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continuing support for human and community development in West and Central Africa.
They explained that the gathering would serve as a strategic platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening institutional partnerships and aligning activities with sustainable development goals.
By bringing together stakeholders and showcasing regional success stories, the forum is expected to deepen Saudi-Africa relations in education, social development and knowledge exchange.
