Erdogan extends Ramadan greetings, prays for unity across Muslim world
Turkish president says holy month should deepen solidarity at home and across the Islamic world

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has marked the start of Ramadan with a message of unity and goodwill, expressing hope that the holy month would strengthen solidarity within Türkiye and across the Muslim world.
In a message shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Erdogan said he wished for Ramadan to “bring goodness to our nation, the Islamic world and all humanity.”
He described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by mercy and reflection, referring to it as “these blessed days when the gates of mercy are opened.”
The president also prayed that the holy month would reinforce unity and togetherness at a time when many communities around the world are facing social and humanitarian challenges.
“I beseech my Lord that these blessed days strengthen our unity and togetherness,” he said, concluding his message with “Blessed Ramadan.”
Ramadan, observed by Muslims worldwide, is a month of fasting from dawn to sunset, prayer and charitable giving.
